Couples marry on the beach or in Taman Surya, the resort’s beachfront garden, which seats 200 for dinner, and the reception can move into the column-free Puri Bali Grand Ballroom if the weather turns. A dedicated wedding team plans the day, and the Intimate I Do Celebration includes a blessing by a Balinese priest. With 492 suites, eight restaurants, two kids’ clubs and The Reserve, an adults-only area for guests 16 and over, the whole wedding party can stay at the resort; the rest of the resort welcomes all ages.

A blessing from a Balinese priest
In Bali, a marriage is blessed as well as celebrated. The Intimate I Do Celebration includes a blessing for the couple led by a Balinese priest, with the flower and incense offerings of a Balinese ceremony. Ask the wedding team about adding a blessing to any other package.
Balinese life is close at hand for your guests, too. Two temples stand within the resort grounds, Giri Amertha and Segara Amertha, and every afternoon the Life Enriching Program teaches Balinese crafts: penjor and janur weaving, canang sari offerings, batik, and a sarong and dance lesson.

Can we get married on the beach at Paradisus by Meliá Bali?
Yes. Romance by Paradisus ceremonies take place on the beach at Nusa Dua or in Taman Surya, the resort’s beachfront garden. The Intimate I Do Celebration offers either setting, and the three larger packages include exclusive use of Taman Surya.
How many guests can a wedding at Paradisus by Meliá Bali host?
Taman Surya beachfront garden holds up to 300 guests for a cocktail reception and 200 seated for dinner. The Puri Bali Grand Ballroom seats 210 for dinner and holds 270 for a cocktail reception. The four packages are designed for two, 30 and 50 guests, and extra guests can be added to any of them.
What happens if it rains on the wedding day?
The reception can move indoors to the Puri Bali Grand Ballroom, a column-free 701 m² room with a 7 m ceiling within the resort, so guests do not need to travel.
Is the ceremony legally binding?
Romance by Paradisus ceremonies are led by an English-speaking wedding celebrant, and the Intimate I Do Celebration includes a commemorative wedding certificate. If you need a legally registered marriage, ask the wedding team what is required for your nationality before you book.
