Three days in Nusa Dua is enough to see the best of Bali’s calm south without long drives. Paradisus by Meliá Bali is 12 km, about 20 minutes by road, from I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport. Spend day one by the lagoon, with a Balinese craft workshop and dinner at one of eight restaurants; day two at a temple beyond the gate, either Uluwatu at sunset or Tanah Lot and Taman Ayun in the morning; and day three slowly, with yoga, the courts and YHI Spa. On an all-inclusive stay the excursions, meals and activities in this plan are included, and spa treatments have 20% off. Bed-and-breakfast rates are also available.

Day 1

Arrive, then slow down

Land at Ngurah Rai and you are at the resort in about 20 minutes. Spend the first afternoon on the beach in front of the resort, which faces a calm, sheltered lagoon, or join the Balinese culture session at 2 pm: batik, janur, penjor or canang sari, usually held at Kanna Rooftop Bar.

Stay on for a sunset drink, then have dinner at Tokimeku (Japanese) or Samira (Middle Eastern), both Tripadvisor Travelers’ Choice 2026 winners.

Day 2

A temple beyond the gate

Choose by the day of the week. On Tuesday and Friday, the Tanah Lot & Taman Ayun Temple excursion leaves at 7.30 am: the sea temple on its rock and the royal temple of Mengwi in one morning. On Monday and Thursday, Uluwatu Sacred Sights & Sounds leaves at 4 pm for the clifftop temple above the Indian Ocean at sunset. Both are included for all-inclusive guests, and children are welcome.

Spend the other half of the day on the four slides of the Aquazone Water Theme Park, or with an hour of stand-up paddleboarding, snorkelling or kayaking from the beach. End the day with dinner at Peseta (Spanish) or ARUM (Asian).
